It’s been said that the 2 best days of your Life is the day you were born and the day you find out why you were born. My purpose in Life was something I struggled with for a long time. I felt like I didn’t have any special abilities. I can’t sing, draw or dance. I don’t have professional athleticism or any other special talent. So I thought!
I can’t remember the exact year, but between 2018 & 2020 I figured out my Purpose in an unusual way. A coworker and I was talking one day about our God Given Purpose. I still remember the conversation like it was yesterday. I mentioned to my coworker that I had no idea what my Life’s Purpose was. What this coworker said next changed my Life forever. With a puzzled looked on his face, he said “your purpose is Helping Others.” Not realizing I had been doing this all along. The “Lightbulb” came on!
In 1 Corinthians 12, it talks about the Spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit gives us all to help each other. To one person it may be the gift of wise advice, to another, the gift of knowledge. To another the gift of great Faith or gift of healing, the gift to perform miracles or the ability to prophesy.
What do you do well with the least amount of effort? For me, it has always been helping others by providing them with spiritual guidance. If you struggle with finding your purpose, ask God to reveal it to you. Be prepared to expect the answer in an unusual way, like I did.
Lord, Bless everyone reading this message. Give them the desires of their heart. Lord, reveal in a way like only you know how their God Given Purpose. It’s a beautiful moment when why find out why we were born! Lord, as always we give you all the Honor and all the Glory, in your son Jesus name. Amen
